Martial Arts Around the World June 17 - 21
Students will travel the world and discover the rich history and culture that five countries have to offer -- South Korea, Brazil, Israel, Philippines and Japan. Students will have the opportunity to experience a variety of martial arts, foods, languages, arts and music.
Ninja Training June 24 – 28
Come experience the way of the Ninja Warrior. Sharpen your senses and learn the stealthy art of Ninjitsu. Design your very own ninja uniform, and make origami throwing stars. Prepare yourself physically, mentally and spiritually for the Ultimate Ninja Showdown Squirt Gun Fight!
Rube Goldberg Physics for Kicks July 8 - 12
Explore the three laws of motion as we construct Rube Goldberg devices. Campers will build the complicated cause and effect machines that send marbles rolling, pulleys pulling, and projectiles flying. Campers will see physics in action during their daily Taekwondo training.
Super Hero Camp July 15 – 19
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, its Super Hero Camp! In this fun filled week, campers will create their own super hero identity, complete with super powers, costumes and the necessary martial arts, teamwork and acrobatic skills needed to rescue a kitten in a tree or damsel in distress.
Under the Big Top Circus July 22 – 26
Ever marvel at the amazing skills of Barnum and Bailey or the Shanghai Acrobats? Now is your chance
to join their ranks. Whether it’s juggling, clowning or being at the top of the pyramid that strikes your fancy, you will love to join the Core TaeKwonDo Circus Troupe! Students will hone their skills and preform a show on Friday.
007 Spy Training July 29 – August 2
TOP SECRET! EYES ONLY! If you are still reading this, then spy camp is for you. Come learn the art of espionage. Create a secret language, send messages in invisible ink, move without being seen, accept a mission that will boggle your mind and test your body.
Tricking August 5 – 9
Tricking – The Modern Martial Art. If you combine acrobatics, tumbling, handstands, staff twirling, speed-chucks, hip-hop dancing, kicking, board breaking and punching, you get the latest martial arts craze – “Tricking.” Spend a week trying your hand and showing off your skills.
The Olympic Games Aug. 12 – 16
Pass the torch to the 2013 Summer Olympic Games. Campers will be divided into nations as they compete in a variety of events from TaeKwonDo Chicken Fights to Paddle Balancing to Banana Relays. Come take home the gold!
Lights, Camera, Action Aug 19 – 23
From Bruce Lee to Kung Fu Panda, martial arts has become a Hollywood staple. This week campers will study some of the most famous martial arts action films and create an action movie of their own. Campers will write scripts, learn stage fighting, design costumes and preform their show in front of a live audience.
