Nestled beneath tall pine trees, Camp Gold Hollow is located 2 1/2 miles from the historic gold mining town of Nevada City at Lake Vera. Camp Gold Hollow is owned and operated by Camp Fire Golden Empire.
Camp Gold Hollow's resident camp provides an outdoor adventure for both the seasoned and first time camper. Our programs foster independence, sound decision making and self-reliance, while creating friendships that will last a lifetime. We are committed to providing a high quality experience for your child in an environment of positive self-esteem and respect for the individual.

Camp life involves a group living experience, rich in opportunities to discover and build individual skills while developing one's sense of environmental awareness. While at camp, children will have the opportunity to select and participate in activities that interest them. The camping program is progressive, with more challenging opportunities for the older camper. Our camp is flexible and child-centered, with an emphasis on fun, adventure, and learning. Combining the individual talents of camp staff opens the door to creative and fun activities. Each day at camp is packed with a regular schedule of activities so that everyone can participate in a wide variety of experiences.

Camp Gold Hollow accepts children with Special Needs as long as they are medically cleared to attend camp. Please advise us so that we may provide the best camp experience for your child. Information is kept confidential and is used solely for the purpose of assisting your child at camp. Vegetarian and special diets are available upon request.
