Park Day School is a K-8 co-ed independent progressive school located in Oakland’s Temescal neighborhood. We have a robust interdisciplinary academic program with an emphasis on social justice and social-emotional learning. Park Day School provides a strong academic foundation where students learn by doing and are encouraged to follow their own curiosity. Critical thinking is nurtured alongside a focus on developing intrinsic motivation.
Park Day School’s mission is to prepare students to be informed, courageous, and compassionate people who shape a more equitable and sustainable world.
The school day begins at 8:30am/8:45am and ends at 3:15pm/3:30pm depending on grade level. Extended day programming is offered beginning at 7:30am and ending at 6pm.
