Want to meet a leprechaun? How about dancing a jig? Here’s where to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day, the luck of the Irish and all things green around the Bay Area in 2025. 

Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. MARCH 15 and 16. This two-day celebration of the Emerald Isle includes a parade, fun run, pancake breakfast and a festival with three stages of Irish music and dance; authentic Irish food and beverages, more than 250 fine arts and commercial vendors, including an Irish Marketplace, roaming leprechauns and bagpipers, carnival rides and an Irish Tea Cottage. The parade begins Sat. at 9:30am at Dublin Boulevard and Amador Plaza Road. Parade and festival entry are FREE. 10am-5pm.

Flying Leprechaun Skydive. MARCH 16. Morning festivities include free face painting and paint-a-plane green. Scour the Museum’s Gallery for hidden leprechauns and earn a treat from his pot o’ gold. At 12 pm, watch a bit of leprechaun magic and aeronautical skill as the museum’s own leprechaun leaps from a helicopter overhead and descends to San Carlos Airport via parachute. Children wearing green receive a special toy to commemorate the occasion. 10am-12pm. Included with admission of $22 adult, $14 ages 4-17, 3 and under FREE.

St. Patrick’s Crissy Field 5K and Kids’ Run. MARCH 16. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a flat, fast and scenic out and back course along Crissy Field to Fort Point and back. Upon completion of the 5K, there will be a free half-mile kids’ run. 9am (8am check-in). $10 and up.

San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Parade. MARCH 15. The 174th annual parade will feature vibrant floats, lively music, Irish dancing and more on a route from Second and Market streets to City Hall. A block party is scheduled at 12pm on March 16. See websites for details. 11:30 am. FREE.  At the United Irish Cultural Center, 2700 45th Ave.

San Jose Shamrock Run

MARCH 15. Join the Bay Area’s largest St. Patrick’s Day running party with a 10K, 5K and Kids run. The race is followed by O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub & Five Points post-race party, with live entertainment and more. The Shamrock Run directly benefits the San Jose – Dublin Sister City Program’s Pat McMahon Scholarship. Details TBA.
